How To Change the tone of any skin texture rescourse
Introduction
In this tutorial I will show you how to change a skin tone from really pale to really dark. You'll know how to edit a rescource kit skin file to be a dark as you want or as light as you want with just a few clicks.
Step 1 - Setting up
Open the skin texture in photoshop (For our example we will be using a Victoria 4 face skin texture, specifically the Alpha Rescource kit 2 by Sarsa available at DAZ.)
Step 2 - Curve the colors
Go to the menu bar at the top of the screen and go to Layers, then new adjustment layer, then Curves. Click okay on the “New Layer” dialogue.
Name the action whatever you want and click “Record”.
Step 3 - Create Your action
Now begin your postwork. Everything you do will be recorded in the actions window. (Hint: You should always start with “Duplicate Layer” and end with “Flatten Image”.) When you are done, click “Stop Playing/Recording”.
Step 4 - All Done!
Your action is now saved and you can duplicate your own personal postwork technique again and again!
