Day three of 2007

Okay, here's to letting go and letting it flow. LOL - day three in this blogging world. The weather... yeesh. Global warming. *sigh* Are we in trouble? I try not to think of it, but how can I not? Just so that all know, while I live in England, I'm not native here. I was born in the USA - Greenville, Mississippi - grew up in Chicago, lived in Texas and then Wisconsin before meeting my husband and relocating to England. In all the places I've lived, there has been winter. Truth be told, I'm not a winter person. I get cold very easily. I do not like being cold! *shiver*

However, as much as I hate the snow, blizzards, hassle of warming up the car, scraping the windows and cleaning off the snow from your vehicle, having your guts tie in a knot when the roads are icy - hate it all! Even so, I know that seasons have their reasons. Winters help keep calm some of the things I hate about summer... INSECTS!!! A mild winter means this summer - mosquitos, ticks, biting flies! Yew! So okay, bring on the winter - I will endure. Now - we face something even worse than winters and insects... global warming. The previous mentions made me nervous, irritated me at times, but this - frightens me. I'm frightened of it. And the question is - what the hell do we do? Are we too far gone, to reverse things even a little? *sigh*

2007 - what do you hold?

In the part of England where I live, expect cloudly, dreary days. Rain, mist, moisture - now and then, the sun will peak through teasing all the inhabitants here. Summer in Northern England? Yeah right... blink and you'll miss it! Well the last three years, they've had a lot more summer days. A few reaching into the 90's. Hmmm? And now, this winter - no snow yet. Has only dropped below 35 two maybe three days... I think I'm wrong there, maybe 1 or 2 days. Hmmm?

Oh what I would give for a good sound snow storm. For snow capped mountains to be once again covered in snow. To go out and scrap, shovel and clean off the snow. *groan* Something has to give. We as humans, are screwing up the one and only home we were given to live on... we all better stop, take stock and start doing some reversals ... before we hit total melt down.
